School Counselors and Community Organizations

腦瞳憫 values your role in your school or organization in guiding students through their college search, application, and enrollment process.

Your commitment to sharing post-secondary opportunities with students, families, and colleagues does not go unnoticed. This website is designed to support your efforts by providing additional resources about 腦瞳憫 for your students. Augusta University traces its roots back to 1828, with the founding of the Medical College of Georgia, and continues to provide life-changing and life-saving educational opportunities to students as one of four research institutions in the state of Georgia. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any admissions questions, and we look forward to working with you and your students. Go Jags!

腦瞳憫 will waive the testing requirement for qualified first-year students for the upcoming Fall 2025 semester.

In the absence of test scores, we will employ a GPA threshold (a minimum high school GPA of 3.4 as calculated by the Office of Academic Admissions based on the Required High School Curriculum) to make admissions eligibility decisions. Incoming Freshman must still meet all other admissions requirements, which includes completing the Required High School Curriculum and providing all other requested documentation. Students below a 3.4 GPA will need to submit SAT or ACT scores meeting our minimum requirement for admission.

Application Process

At 腦瞳憫, we review students based on their completed admissions application, official high school transcript, and official test score report.

If you have students interested in starting elsewhere and transferring into AU, you can learn about our transfer process here.

1. Completed Application

Students can choose to apply via CommonApp or GaFutures. To be reviewed, students must complete the entire application and pay the 55.00 application fee or submit an approved fee waiver. After a student applies, they will receive access to an application status portal.

2. Official High School Transcripts

All high school transcripts must be sent directly from a high school administrator to be used in our admissions process. These documents can be sent via mail, emailed, or sent electronically using a transcript service.

3. Official Test Score Report

腦瞳憫 requires the official test score report from CollegeBoard or ACT to be used in our admissions process.

4. Minimum Requirements

The most important consideration for determining eligibility for freshman admissions at 腦瞳憫 is the Freshman Index. However, students must meet the minimum University System of Georgia subscores on the SAT or ACT and complete the for their respective state.

5. Important Dates

  1. Early Action Deadline: October 31
  2. First Decision Release: On or before December 15
  3. Scholarship Deadline: February 1
